Stairmaze

With a single sheet of paper and a little patience you can cut and fold this Escher inspired stair maze. Cutting this template is very easy (there are only straight lines) but folding it is a bit more difficult, especially if your paper is thick. To facilitate folding, instead of scoring the mountain folds with a blunt scoring tool, very lightly trace the mountain folds with your scalpel knife so as to cut through only about 1/3 of the thickness of your paper. Score the valley folds with your regular scoring tool.

Design Notes This card is easy to cut, but challenging to fold, especially with thick paper. The best approach is to run your scalpel knife very gently along the long mountain fold lines, cutting only half way through the sheet of paper. Score the valley fold lines by pressing down extra hard (being careful not to pierce the paper).
